Near the concert hall that day, Nam Jin, who was receiving leg treatment, said, "I ran four times a day for eight hours each, so I can't avoid it," noting that he receives leg massages as a pre-show routine.
While receiving a massage, Nam Jin recalled the harrowing accident, telling the masseur, "I injured my left leg. I was struck with an implement in the past. (Thigh) the knife went in here. It hit from behind and shot forward."
This was the Nam Jin knife attack incident, in which three gangsters threatened Nam Jin and stabbed his thigh in 1989. Nam Jin said calmly, "If it had missed by just 1 mm, I would have been disabled."
As time passed, Nam Jin revealed the surprising update that he now even eats with the person who stabbed him. Nam Jin said, "Back then there was the aorta. If that had been touched, you'd be dead in three minutes. If it had hit that spot, I probably wouldn't have been able to do this program."
He then joked, "It's a relief. Because it didn't become XX," adding, "We're lucky because we're alive."
