'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant' Son Tae Jin's mother revealed the No. 1 education method.
On the 16th broadcast, KBS 2TV entertainment program 'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant' (hereafter 'Fun-Staurant') featured singer Son Tae Jin as a new guest chef.
Son Tae Jin, a Seoul National University vocal music major, is known to be proficient in six languages including English, Chinese, Japanese, Italian and French. In response, Son Tae Jin's mother attracted attention by revealing her own education method.
His mother said, "English is important, but I sent him to a Chinese school because I wanted him to learn Chinese. Also, although he should be good at English and Chinese, I thought he should be good at Korean too, so I sent him to a Korean school," and added, "There were times when he used words like 'hot' and 'cold' inappropriately for the situation. Now his (Korean) skills have improved a lot."
When asked about what led Son Tae Jin to start "music," his mother said proudly, "At the American school, during music class they select a singers group to lead on stage the kids who stand out a bit, and Tae Jin got into the singers. When he graduated high school, he sang the U.S. national anthem a cappella by himself."
She continued, "He sang in front of many people, and I felt that Tae Jin was enjoying it there. Thinking that Tae Jin would be good at music, we gave up on a French university and decided to study in Korea. He came with me and enrolled in Seoul National University's vocal music department."
Following his mother's recommendation, Son Tae Jin headed to Korea and expressed his gratitude, saying, "My life changed 180 degrees."
