Girl group Apink achieved their first music show first-place win since their comeback.
Apink (Park Cho-rong, Yoon Bo-mi, Jeong Eun-ji, Kim Nam-joo, Oh Ha-young) won the first-place trophy on Mnet's 'M Countdown' broadcast on the 15th with the title track 'Love Me More' from their 11th mini album 'RE : LOVE (리 : 러브)'.
Apink, who became the winner that day, said, "I am so grateful to our company family members and staff who worked hard for the album. I am also very thankful to my family and PANDA (the fandom name)," and added, "I am so grateful to receive an award like this in our 16th year since debut. We will continue to work hard and show you good performances."
Along with this, Apink performed the 'Love Me More' stage that embraced pure energy and a classic sensibility. Apink, who pulled off hip styling that highlighted each member's individuality, raised immersion with dynamic synchronized choreography, tasteful dance lines and delicate expressiveness. They also demonstrated the staying power of a "long-running icon" by leading an unwavering live performance with solid vocal ability.
'RE : LOVE' is an album in which Apink, celebrating their 15th anniversary this year, captures the deep narrative of love and healing they realized while looking back on 15 years ago in a set of well-made tracks across various genres. After release, it entered the iTunes top album charts in 19 regions and Apple Music charts in 13 regions, proving their unwavering global power.
In particular, the title track 'Love Me More' swept music charts at home and abroad, and as the number of music users steadily increases, it has gained momentum with rising praise from listeners over time. Apink continues the momentum not only with the 'Love Me More' stage that interprets 1990s analog machine synth sounds as their unique team color, but also with dance challenges with various artists.
Meanwhile, Apink will continue meeting fans by holding their eighth solo concert 'The Origin : APINK (the origin : 에이핑크)' at Jangchung Arena in Jung-gu, Seoul at 6 p.m. on Feb. 21 and 4 p.m. on Feb. 22.
