ENHYPEN opens the 2026 music scene with mini album 7th album "THE SIN : VANISH." The members returning after seven months expressed higher satisfaction and confidence than ever before.
ENHYPEN recently held a release commemorative interview for mini album 7th album "THE SIN : VANISH" at a café in Mapo-gu, Seoul and talked about the new album.
When asked about their comeback impressions, Jungwon said, "We are making a comeback after seven months. All seven of us members and even the staff are satisfied with the result, and we wanted to show it to the public as soon as possible," expressing his excitement, and Jay said, "Because we prepared through a long time of effort, this is an album with a high level of satisfaction. Like the title song, we truly 'sharpened our knives' for this album, so please show a lot of interest."
Seonghun continued, "Last year we were fortunately awarded three grand prizes, and we made many efforts to show a worthy appearance," and Niki said, "From the time I heard the mini 7th album demo I thought, 'This album is done,' because the songs hooked me. We came this far wanting to show it quickly. Please look forward to this seventh album," expressing confidence.
ENHYPEN's new release "THE SIN : VANISH" is an album that tells the story of lovers who break taboos and flee for love in a world where humans and vampires coexist, and it is a highly complete "concept album" in which the narrative, lyrics and sound of every track interlock organically. ENHYPEN composed the album by borrowing the format of an investigative reporting program "Mystery Show" that investigates an unprecedented incident, showcasing the essence of immersive storytelling.
Jay said, "This album is a concept album, so I want to emphasize that the promotion itself is the start of the album. I think immersion is the most important thing to enjoy this album. Since I believe immersion begins with pre-promotion, we prepared various elements from the start that can raise immersion."
He added, "We arranged the structure so that you can deeply immerse yourself in the storyline of our album by continuing it as one flow until the end of activities. We are confident about each element, and I also think the flow has a high level of completeness. We are even more confident about this album and highly satisfied with its completeness."
The title track "Knife," which best expresses the album's narrative, is a song that contains the vampire lover's confidence to stand up to any threat. It is a hip-hop track that features a dark atmosphere and a trap beat with strong impact, marking a new genre challenge presented by ENHYPEN.
Jake emphasized about the title track, "During the process of fleeing one can feel fear and anxiety, and this is a hip-hop song that expresses the confidence and emotions shown within that. When you see the performance you will feel the overwhelming concept of the song," and added, "Movements that depict cutting with a knife may be simple, but they seem to be the point choreography. It's powerful choreography."
In particular, Jake included his first self-composed song on the album with the final track "Sleep Tight." He said, "It's a song that expresses the feelings after escaping," and added, "I've wanted to work on songwriting and producing for a long time and had the ambition, so I'm glad I could do it this time. I started working on it before the album concept and such were decided, so I didn't think it would fit the concept this well, but it happened to fit well, which is good, and I want to pursue more song work and these kinds of aspects in the future. I hope you look forward to it a lot."
