broadcaster Lee Kyung-kyu drew a line, saying he has no intention of gifting assets to his daughter Lee Ye-rim in advance.
on the 15th, a video titled "Will South Korea be in crisis from record exchange rates? 2026 economic outlook that makes Lee Kyung-kyu clutch his neck" was posted on the YouTube channel "God Kyung-kyu."
the released video shows economics expert Park Jeong-ho grants appearing and talking about domestic and international economic conditions and housing issues.
Lee Kyung-kyu mentioned rising house prices and the difficulty of owning a home, saying, "We don't care. We've lived enough, and I'm worried about my daughter." he added, "In the past I thought of a house as a space for me to live in, but now that the concept of investment goes along with it, if someone asks, 'Should you buy a house now?' I can't give advice."
when Park Jeong-ho asked, "If your daughter said, 'Since you're going to leave the house anyway, please give the gift early,' what would you say?", Lee Kyung-kyu immediately put on a serious face and snapped back, "nonsense. hey, I'm not dead," turning the scene into a sea of laughter.
when Park added the prospect that average life expectancy will increase, Lee Kyung-kyu repeated the same words, saying, "I told Ye-rim that's right? I'm not dead," prompting laughter once again.
meanwhile, regarding a question about where he would live in old age, Lee Kyung-kyu said, "as you get older you have to live next to a general hospital," and also indicated he has no interest in returning to farming or rural life.
