Broadcaster An Sun-young said she and her husband live "together and apart," referring to a realistic marital relationship.
On the 15th, a video titled "People in their 50s, you must sort out your relationships before it's too late" was posted on the YouTube channel An Sun-young. In the video, An Sun-young said it is necessary to periodically sort out human relationships and shared her convictions.
That day An Sun-young said, "You need a relationship detox once a year, like a diet detox," and "If on Instagram you and someone have had no comments or likes for a year, just cut them off." She added, "If someone openly shows they dislike me, you can mute and cut them off," expressing frank thoughts on organizing relationships.
Still, she said, "When there is truly no affection, you don't even fight. Couples don't fight when it's time to divorce," and added, "Getting angry saying 'you changed' or 'I'm disappointed' means there is still affection left."
In the process she also talked about her married life. When a fan asked, "Did you get divorced from your husband?" An Sun-young replied, "For several years we've not matched as spouses, so we don't go out together," and said, "As parents of our child we coordinate well, so for the child's sake we live 'together and apart,' each according to our own life."
She went on, "While caring for my mother, who has dementia, family conflicts arose, and I felt that if we continued like this everyone would become unhappy," and explained, "So we concluded to live separately." However, she added that "though we live apart, we actually contact each other every day," saying their relationship is not completely severed.
Meanwhile, An Sun-young recently reported that she started a business after moving to Canada.
