The group SEVENTEEN (S.COUPS, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, THE 8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) has produced a 300 million-stream song on Spotify.
According to global audio and music streaming platform Spotify, SEVENTEEN's mini 10th album FML title track SONOKONG had accumulated 300,080,794 streams as of the 16th.
SONOKONG is one of the double title tracks of SEVENTEEN's mini 10th album FML, released in October 2023. Member Woozi and singer-producer BUMZU participated in the lyrics and composition, expressing SEVENTEEN by likening them to a "SONOKONG" that evolves while undergoing trials and frustrations.
When the song was released, it topped Melon and Bugs real-time charts and was a major hit worldwide, including ranking on Billboard's "Global 200" for 12 weeks. In May it surpassed 100 million cumulative streams in Japan alone and received a "platinum" certification in the streaming category from the Recording Industry Association of Japan, proving its "long-running popularity."
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN recently won the main prize in the album category at the 40th Golden Disc Awards with Upbit for their full-length fifth album HAPPY BURSTDAY at Taipei Dome. Unit activities continue. SEVENTEEN subunit MeBose, DK and Seungkwan, will appear today (the 16th) on KBS2's MUSIC BANK and The Seasons - 10CM's Ssedam Ssedam to perform the new song "Blue." The song topped Bugs' real-time chart on the day of release and rose to No. 2 on YouTube Music Korea's "real-time trending music," gaining buzz. S.COUPS and Mingyu will open the door for CxM [DOUBLE UP] LIVE PARTY at Incheon Inspire Arena from the 23rd to the 25th.
