Park Myung Soo shared an unfunny behind-the-scenes story with his father.
On the 16th, a video titled "If you comment Gangneung, I'll give you half-day open-run restaurant information in Gangneung" was released on the YouTube channel "Halmyeongsoo." That day, Park Myung Soo, unable to resist the production team's strong urging, set off from Seoul for a same-day trip to Gangneung.
Stopping by a café in Gangneung, Park Myung Soo was enjoying a mukbang of financier when the production team asked, "What did your family say when you passed MBC?" In response, Park Myung Soo recalled his early debut days and told an honest story.
Park Myung Soo said, "They said, 'What kind of entertainer are you with no line and no backing?'" and added, "But after I started working they were very pleased. Since the income was steady, my father thought he was rich and spent lavishly. It's money I earned," which drew laughter.
He went on, "Then my face became known and I shot a commercial and received 20 million won. I brought that money in cash to my father and he cried," recalling, "And he said, 'I should have given birth to you as twins.'"
When the production team asked, "Mrs. Shin Gap-soon must have been very happy too," Park Myung Soo replied, "My mother has always been very frugal, then and now. She doesn't often wear clothes that cost more than 20,000 won," and added, "But my father, on the other hand, spent lavishly," adding to the laughter.
When asked about his relationship with his younger sibling, he answered briefly, "sibling relationship," revealing his characteristic plain speaking style.
Meanwhile, Park Myung Soo was born in 1970 and is 55 this year. He debuted in 1993, gained great popularity through the entertainment program Infinite Challenge, and continues to be active across radio, variety shows and YouTube.<
