Comedian Park Na-rae's absence from her "close friend" Kim Ji-min's wedding is again prompting various speculations. The revelations by a former manager that surfaced during the conflict with former agency JDB Entertainment have sparked the controversy.
On the 13th, Park Na-rae's former manager Mr. A released a lengthy statement saying, "Claims that do not match the facts are being repeated." The statement included detailed issues such as "the truth of the dawn meeting," "the core of the agreement," "the four major social insurance enrollment issue," and "career distortion," and also contained rebuttals toward the salon owner who recently testified that "there was no abuse of power." Mr. A claimed, "At the time of contract renewal with JDB, Park Na-rae demanded a recording, telling me to find Park OO's weakness to secure a favorable position for her." He said he delivered the recording to Park Na-rae and Park Na-rae's boyfriend and that he is still keeping it. He added that he took on roles from on-site manager to head of team and Deputy Minister, and that Park Na-rae was satisfied with those roles.
With this claim revealed, the reasons why Park Na-rae missed both Kim Ji-min's wedding and the wedding photo shoot resurfaced. Park Na-rae missed the photo shoot citing a theft at her home, and she also did not appear at the wedding held at the Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. At the time, about 400 of the approximately 1,200 guests were celebrities, drawing attention.
Park Na-rae is reported to have explained her absence to the parties involved and delivered a generous wedding gift.
