Singer Tei recounted a harrowing moment when he returned to the country in a wheelchair after suffering full-body burns during a past trip to Thailand. Netizens reacted with relief, saying "I'm really glad he's okay now."
On the 15th, the YouTube channel Cho Hyun's Ordinary Thursday Night released a video titled "End-of-century balladeers all together. If it were me, I'd leave a cold | Lee Ki-chan Tei Na Yoon-kwon."
On that broadcast, Lee Ki-chan, Tei and Na Yoon-kwon appeared and shared updates and memories. When the conversation turned to travel, Na Yoon-kwon said "My first trip abroad was to Thailand and I went with Tei hyung," adding "There were even articles saying the two of us went on a honeymoon," which caused laughter.
He added, "In fact, hyung entered the country in a wheelchair, and I pushed that wheelchair into the airport." Tei retorted, "I never thought like that," prompting roars of laughter at the scene.
Behind the laughter was a dizzying story. Na Yoon-kwon explained, "Thailand is so hot at midday that even locals rarely go out, but while we were on a yacht feeling the sea breeze, we didn't realize how hot it was and both took off our shirts to tan," adding, "He fell asleep like that and eventually suffered second- to third-degree burns over his whole body." He added that "his condition was so severe that he nearly collapsed in the vehicle on the way home," shocking everyone.
Tei also recalled, "The breeze felt so cool that I didn't realize how hot it was." The studio and viewers alike were stunned by a situation that could have turned into a serious accident.
Meanwhile, Tei debuted in 2004 with "Love… leaves a scent" and has been loved as a representative balladeer with hits such as "Similar person" and "Same pillow." He is currently expanding his activities into variety shows, musicals and the restaurant business while continuing an active career.
Responses continued, saying "It's really fortunate that he has recovered his health and can talk about it with a smile like this."
