"Country Kkokko reunited after a long time. Shin Jeong-hwan's self-deprecating joke drew laughs."
On the 14th, a video titled "Shin Jeong-hwan, the icon of self-restraint who refuses to wear a Moncler padding no matter how insane the cold wave" was released on the YouTube channel Nobbagook Tak Jae-Hoon.
That day Tak Jae-Hoon tossed out a joke from the start, saying "Leech?" when someone said "A big shot is coming," and the person who soon appeared was Shin Jeong-hwan. At Tak Jae-Hoon's line, "Here it comes," said with his face covered by a file, Shin Jeong-hwan replied, "Am I caught again?" and with his signature "self-destructive gag" turned the place into a sea of laughter.
Shin Gyu-jin introduced Shin Jeong-hwan as "a wit who dominated 2000s variety shows and an icon of self-restraint who has been attempting a comeback for 15 years since 2010." The caption added the self-deprecating line, "Even with a fever from a cold, I can't wear Moncler," amplifying the laughter.
Shin Jeong-hwan and Tak Jae-Hoon debuted as the duo Country Kkokko in 1998 and enjoyed great popularity, and met again on broadcast about eight years after Project S: Devil's talent donation in 2017.
Internet users reacted, "The courage to bring up self-restraint himself… it's funny," "Tak Jae-Hoon's failed attempt to control his expression lol the chemistry is the same," "The past is the past, but we acknowledge his sense of variety," "It's a show meant to be funny, so it's fine as long as it doesn't cross the line," "I understand those who are uncomfortable, but self-deprecation seems like a minimum attitude."
After a long hiatus the two sat facing each other again. Attention is focused on what kind of evaluation this reunion, which began with spicy talk, will lead to.
