Ahead of its Jan. 21 release, the stylish crime-entertaining movie Project Y, in which Han So-hee plays Miseon, has drawn attention as Han So-hee visited Japan for 2 Days & 1 Night starting Tuesday, Jan. 13, to carry out promotion schedules and has been generating a strong response.
In the middle of a glamorous city, Miseon and Dokyung, who had been living dreaming of a different tomorrow, end up on the brink of life and steal black money and gold bullion, triggering the events that unfold. In Project Y (director I-hwan, provided by Plus M Entertainment·Fenture Invest Co., distributed by Plus M Entertainment, planned by Wowpoint (WOWPOINT)·Climax Studio, produced by Climax Studio·Wowpoint (WOWPOINT), co-produced by Plus M Entertainment), Han So-hee, who plays Miseon, visited Tokyo, Japan, for two days from Tuesday, Jan. 13 to Wednesday, Jan. 14, to mark the Japanese release and drew attention to the film through a variety of promotional activities.
Although it has been customary for Korean films to open in Japan six months to a year after their domestic release, Project Y unusually confirmed a simultaneous theatrical release on Jan. 23, proving the film's hot buzz. Accordingly, Han So-hee is continuing promotional activities by attending not only Korean promotions but also Japanese opening promotions. At the Tokyo premiere screening held on Tuesday, Jan. 13, Han So-hee expressed her gratitude to attending audience members in a stage greeting, introduced her character, shared her thoughts on filming, and recounted various episodes related to the film. She also held a lucky draw event in which signed posters were given away by seat lottery, providing perfect fan service and eliciting enthusiastic responses from local audiences. In particular, the Tokyo premiere screening of Project Y was sold out, underscoring the strong excitement for Han So-hee and Project Y. Bolstered by this warm reaction, Han So-hee will continue to add passion to Project Y promotion by taking on additional schedules such as interviews with local Japanese media.
With Han So-hee personally carrying out promotions in Japan just one week before the release and maintaining a nonstop promotional schedule, the crime-entertaining movie Project Y will open in theaters nationwide on Jan. 21.
