Broadcaster Oh Jeong-yeon said goodbye to a pet dog that had stayed by her side for 16 years.
On the 15th, Oh Jeong-yeon wrote on her social account, "Chakhan, who has been by my side for the long time of 16 years, went to the sky country last night," saying her pet dog crossed the rainbow bridge.
Oh Jeong-yeon said, "Despite advanced age, the dog, who was always healthy and a great joy simply by existing, recently began coughing frequently and was diagnosed with stage 4 bronchial collapse. During the day the vet prescribed stronger medicine and I gave it to the dog, and I thought it had gotten a bit better, but after going out and coming back at night I found it lying in the cradle as if sleeping. When I touched its body it was stiff but still warm. Its particularly black, gentle-looking eyes were still open, so I couldn't believe it and talked to it for a long time."
She added, "Chakhan, who was good and meek like its name for all 16 years. Maybe it hurried to the sky when it was alone so I wouldn't be too distressed. Yesterday was chaotic, but the more time passes the more I miss Chakhan, and now tears flow endlessly."
Oh Jeong-yeon said, "Chakhan, I miss you so, so much! I am grateful for everything you gave me. I'm sorry I couldn't treat you well," and added, "Please wish that our Chakhan holds only good memories and is happy."
