Comedian Park Na-rae directly expressed her position regarding the embezzlement·corporate operation·agreement controversy surrounding her ex-boyfriend, and the former manager's side rebutted again, saying "this is not true."
In a recent interview with Ilgan Sports, Park Na-rae said about the agreement controversy with her former managers, "the other side labeled what happened as false information and demanded an apology for things that did not happen," and claimed, "there was even a clause requiring compensation of 30 million won per statement."
In response, the former manager's side directly refuted the claim in an interview with Xports, saying, "If we disclose the agreement, the truth will come out." They said, "The agreement we sent included a clause that if any of the three of us—the manager, the head of team, and Park Na-rae—each violated the agreed terms, we would mutually compensate 30 million won each." On the other hand, they claimed, "The agreement sent by Park Na-rae's side included a clause requiring only the manager and the head of team to each pay 1 billion won," adding, "it was a condition that lacked fairness."
They also continued to rebut explanations surrounding the embezzlement suspicions about the ex-boyfriend. In the interview, Park Na-rae explained, "The accounting team only handled tax matters, and the ex-boyfriend was in charge of practical tasks such as bookkeeping and performance contracts," and "he majored in business administration and studied accounting, and he was deeply involved in company matters such as reviewing contracts."
However, the former manager's side raised doubts about the claims of academic background and expertise, saying, "Contrary to the explanation that he majored in business administration, we understand he actually attended for one semester and long ago withdrew."
Allegations surrounding corporate operations and the use of funds are also an issue. Park Na-rae explained the allegations related to corporate fund usage, but the former manager's side claimed, "Personal expenditures such as gifts for the ex-boyfriend were continuously processed as corporate funds." They added, "Even after leaving the former agency and meeting a new accountant, the same criticisms emerged, but the situation did not change."
Furthermore, Park Na-rae's former manager emphasized regarding the 'escape suspicion' over staying in the United States, "She is staying in the United States for health reasons, not to flee," and stressed, "She left the country after completing both the scheduled investigation of the accused and the investigation of the accuser." He added, "She also has personal plans in Korea, and if additional investigation is needed she will return immediately."
