Shin Jeong-hwan personally revealed the behind-the-scenes story of the 'dengue fever incident' that once caused a major stir.
On the 14th, a video titled Shin Jeong-hwan, an icon of self-restraint who refuses to wear even a Moncler puffer despite the crazy cold snap was posted on the YouTube channel Noppakku Tak Jae-Hoon. That day, Shin Jeong-hwan updated fans on his recent status and mentioned the dengue fever incident that had put him at the center of past controversy.
When Tak Jae-Hoon asked, "How is your health these days?" Shin Jeong-hwan joked, "I'm fine. I've had no fever," then added, "But did you really have dengue fever?" and offered an unexpected answer. Shin Jeong-hwan confessed, "No, I didn't. A close hyung at the time came up with that idea," implying that claims he battled dengue fever were not true.
When Shin Kyu-jin showed the hospital photo that had been released at the time and asked, "Then was all of this staged?" Shin Jeong-hwan hurriedly replied, "It wasn't staged. It was a real hospital with real doctors and nurses. It was a hospital in the Philippines," and he quickly covered the photo.
