Pregnant actress Kang Eun-bi, who was hospitalized in an emergency… ultimately announced a miscarriage and said "I am so sad"
Actress Kang Eun-bi anguished many hearts by announcing a miscarriage at 21 weeks of pregnancy.
On the 15th, Kang Eun-bi cautiously announced her parting with the baby in a video released on her YouTube channel titled "Five months that were short and long, 21 weeks, farewell to Sansam. I love you, baby." She calmly but painfully recounted the time of Jan. 3, saying, "At 21 weeks, Sansam left as a little star."
Earlier, around 20 weeks of pregnancy, Kang Eun-bi was rushed to a university hospital for premature rupture of membranes. A detailed ultrasound confirmed decreased amniotic fluid, and she was soon diagnosed with an amniotic fluid level of zero. She waited for recovery under absolute rest, but the amniotic fluid never replenished. She said, "All tests had been normal and I had felt fetal movement, so I thought it was due to overwork," revealing the despair she felt at the time.
Even after transfer to a higher-level hospital, the situation was not easy. She was told that pregnancy termination had to be considered because of the baby's position and lung development problems, and she said she ultimately had to let the baby go on the day she reached 21 weeks. Kang Eun-bi expressed deep sorrow, saying, "The moment I heard they were barely holding on in a cramped space, everything fell apart."
After the video was released, condolences continued in the comments and online communities. Internet users responded, "I am so sad… words won't fully console you, but I support you from the bottom of my heart," "It's no one's fault, not the mother's or father's. Please don't blame yourselves," "Though short, the baby surely stayed in love," and "Right now, recovery of body and mind comes first."
Kang Eun-bi married her husband, Byun Jun-pil, in April of last year after 17 years of dating, and in September of the same year she announced a natural pregnancy at age 40, receiving many congratulations. In the face of the sudden sad news, the public is sending quiet but heartfelt support along with deep sorrow.
