Zico mentioned a memorable contestant and expressed his resolve.
On Jan. 15 at the Elliena Hotel in Gangnam, Seoul, Mnet held a press conference for Show Me the Money 12. The event was attended by CP Choi Hyo-jin and eight producers (Zico · Crush, GRAY · Loco, Jay Tong · HURKI Shibaseki, Lil Moshpit · Park Jae-beom).
Since its first broadcast in 2012, Mnet's "Show Me the Money," which has led the popularization of hip-hop in Korea, has entered its 12th season. As a new season returning after about four years, it promises an expanded scale through changes such as the largest number of applicants in the show's history, the most episodes, and expansion to the OTT platform Wavve.
Zico, who will be on the same team as Crush, previewed, "The color of our team is that because we both cross many genres as artists, we will not only highlight what participants do well but also maximize their potential by having them try various genres."
He added, "What I consider most important is that the 'Show Me' program itself is delivered to both the general public and fans. We are trying to create results that will satisfy both channels sufficiently," expressing his resolve.
However, when asked about the "memorable contestant," he said, "There was a memorable contestant, but they were eliminated," and added, "There is another memorable contestant, but I don't think I can tell you who that is now," raising anticipation.
Crush went on to explain, "Because producer Zico had been preparing and working a lot beforehand, our teamwork was so good it was like we were one body; there was even something like telepathy. That aspect seems to have greatly contributed to teamwork with the participants as the rounds progressed."
