The group Blackpink has completed all preparations and finally confirmed a full-group comeback on Feb. 27.
YG Entertainment posted 'BLACKPINK 3rd MINI ALBUM [DEADLINE]' on its official blog on the 15th. With stylish motion graphics using the team's signature color, it fired the starting shot for the comeback promotion.
A streak of pink light cut through the darkness several times at high speed, leaving afterimages, and a rushing sound gradually intensified to deliver a thrilling tension. It then officially announced the release of the third mini album at 1 p.m. on Feb. 27.
The album title is the same 'DEADLINE' as the world tour that has been traveling the globe since last July, when they became the first K-pop girl group to perform at Goyang Sports Complex. It is expected that this comeback will cap off the journey of laughing and crying and connecting with global fans.
Having written numerous K-pop records each time and established themselves as a top global girl group, they are expected to make a big impact with this album as well. Through last year's digital single 'Jump,' they achieved their third No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, setting a new record as the first and most for a K-pop girl group.
Earlier, YG Entertainment said it had finished major album work including music video filming ahead of time and was pouring its heart into maximizing the album's completeness. YG said, "We express deep gratitude to fans who waited for a not-short time. We plan to repay you with highly complete music, so please show a lot of interest."
Blackpink is connecting with fans worldwide through 'BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR 'DEADLINE',' which spans a total of 16 cities and 33 shows. They will perform at Tokyo Dome for three days from tomorrow (the 16th) to the 17th and 18th, and will cap the tour with shows at Hong Kong's Kai Tak Stadium on the 24th, 25th and 26th.
