'Chagane' actor Cha Seung-won and mixed martial artist Choo Sung Hoon showed exceptional chemistry.
On the 15th broadcast, tvN's 'Chagane' continued the Chagane organization's business trip to Bangkok as they went into sauce development to find new and diverse spicy flavors.
Choo Sung Hoon showed extraordinary passion for cooking by buying sauce ingredients himself at the market. He told Cha Seung-won "I have a somewhat different style from you. I wanted to make a sauce that you can just dip and eat," and "Since I'm not a professional chef, I even went to consult a Korean chef living locally," which surprised everyone. It was a passage that highlighted Choo Sung Hoon's grit in going the distance to create a sauce that matched his image.
In response to Choo Sung Hoon's enthusiastic explanation, Cha Seung-won casually but warmly encouraged him, saying "You've done a lot." When Choo Sung Hoon asked, "What did you do, hyung?" Cha Seung-won calmly replied, "I made kimchi," revealing his culinary mastery. In particular, Cha Seung-won showed quick thinking by using local fish sauce to make kimchi.
Cha Seung-won showed a characteristic 'tsundere' side that drew laughter, telling Choo Sung Hoon, who was about to taste the kimchi, "Eat with wooden chopsticks. Don't keep putting spit on it."
After taking a bite of the kimchi, Choo Sung Hoon couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow, this tastes like here (Thailand)," completely captivated by Cha Seung-won's touch that harmonized local ingredients with Korean flavors. Choo Sung Hoon praised it generously, saying, "It will be much tastier after a little more time."
