'Golttaenyeo' opened the reboot season with a bold declaration starting from the transfer market.
SBS 'Gol (Goal) Ttaerineun Geunyeodeul' (hereafter 'Golttaenyeo') is set to air the first episode of its 2026 reboot season today (14th) at 9 p.m., and the pre-released 'Reboot episode 0' video on YouTube is drawing fans' attention.
In this reboot season, not only team reorganization but also a major upheaval in the transfer market was predicted. The hottest transfer among them was the news that Kim Bo-kyung, the ace of 'FC Top Girl', moved to 'FC Balladream'. In the pre-release video, when Bae Seong-jae asked, "Tell us frankly how you feel about losing Kim Bo-kyung, who played the ace role for Top Girl," Cha Rina replied, "She is a younger sister I love very much. She was like a beloved doll," showing extraordinary affection.
Cha Rina continued, "I honestly told the producers too. If they don't keep this lineup as is, I'll quit. But Kim Bo-kyung is someone who's leaving anyway," drawing a line and prompting laughter with her quick change of stance. When Bae Seong-jae asked, "If you face off on the ground, will tackles come in?" Cha Rina declared without hesitation, "No mercy," raising the tension.
Also, in this 'Reboot episode 0', the coaches' 'rankings by appearance' were revealed, eliciting laughter. The unexpected result for first place went to coach Lee Geun-ho, who received two votes. In particular, 'FC World Class' added the voting reason, "It's an award that foreigners would like," turning the scene into a sea of laughter. On the other hand, coach Baek Ji-hoon, once called the 'icon of handsomeness', received only one vote, and Baek Ji-hoon expressed displeasure, saying, "What I really feel wronged about is losing to Lee Geun-ho. Everyone else is fine," adding another laugh.
Meanwhile, ahead of the main broadcast, the 'Gol Ttaerineun Geunyeodeul' YouTube channel is sequentially releasing 'Reboot episode 0'. 'Reboot episode 0' contains the newly reorganized team compositions, transfer stories, and vivid reactions from coaches and players, further raising viewers' expectations.
The stronger teams, the tougher players, and the first stories of the newly reorganized eight teams can be seen today (14th) at 9 p.m. on SBS 'Gol Ttaerineun Geunyeodeul'. In particular, the premiere will kick off the reboot season in style with the opening match, selected directly by fan vote, between 'FC Balladream' and 'FC Top Girl'.
