Group CORTIS pulled off another reverse climb on the Billboard charts.
On Jan. 17, Billboard's latest chart showed that CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, Geonho)'s debut album 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' rose three spots from the previous week to No. 5 on the World Albums chart, marking its 18th consecutive week on the chart. On the Top Current Album Sales chart, which tallies physical album sales in the U.S., it jumped 15 spots from last week to No. 30.
CORTIS is showing strong staying power on domestic album charts as well. Their debut album topped Hanteo Chart's latest weekly album chart (tracking period: Jan. 5-11). It also ranked No. 1 on the final weekly album chart of last year (tracking period: Dec. 22-28, 2025), and sales have continued to rise.
The global music market is also taking note of CORTIS's explosive growth. They were selected for Shazam Fast Forward 2026, released on Jan. 12 by Apple Music and the music discovery app Shazam. The list highlights emerging artists across all genres worldwide who are poised to break out in 2026. It is based on Shazam's predictive data, algorithms and the expertise of the Apple Music global editorial team, giving it high credibility.
Shazam said, "CORTIS reached No. 1 on the Korea Shazam chart last September with the intro track from their debut album, 'GO!'. In October, both 'GO!' and 'FaSHioN' simultaneously entered the global K-pop chart's top 10. Also, immediately after the release of 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES', streaming of their songs surged 345% during Sept. 5-11," explaining the selection. It added, "As of last year, they appeared on Apple Music's overall top 100 in 24 countries worldwide. In particular, the hit song 'GO!' reached the top 10 not only in Korea but also in major Asian markets such as China and Thailand."
