Actor Ryu Jin's eldest son, Chan-hyung, was accepted to Berklee College of Music.
Ryu Jin recently uploaded a video titled 2026 Ryu Jin family announcement (college acceptance, Silver Button) to his YouTube channel "The most (awesome) Ryu Jin."
In the video, the Ryu Jin couple visited the hotel where they held their eldest son Chan-hyung's first birthday party for a family gathering. Ryu Jin said, "At that time I was filming the drama 'General Hospital 2' so many of the actors came. But Chan-hyung doesn't remember it."
The reason Ryu Jin and his family revisited the hotel where they held Chan-hyung's first birthday party and held a family gathering was that there were several celebratory events. Ryu Jin said, "There is Christmas, but (Chan-hyung) was a senior in high school and he has reaped the rewards. I'm so proud."
Chan-hyung said, "I hope only good things happen to our family in the future," and showed a mature side, saying, "College should not be the goal; I think it should be a tool to move forward." Ryu Jin's wife said, "I hope we have a little more leeway next year. With our son's college acceptance, it seems I have been able to drop some of the sense of duty," she said.
Later, through Ryu Jin's wife's social account, it was confirmed that their eldest son Chan-hyung was accepted to Berklee College of Music. A post shared by Ryu Jin's wife, Lee Hye-seon, contained information that Chan-hyung was accepted to Berklee College of Music in Boston, majoring in music industry leadership.
The major Chan-hyung chose is known to be an undergraduate program focused on nurturing talent who plan, operate and manage the music industry as a whole, rather than focusing on performance and composition. As Chan-hyung, who appeared on MBN's "Spike War" on the 11th and boasted a tall height of 188 cm and visuals, the news of his admission to Berklee College of Music is drawing great attention.
Meanwhile, Ryu Jin married former flight attendant Lee Hye-seon in 2006 and they have two sons. Chan-hyung became known after appearing with Ryu Jin on MBC's "Dad, Where Are We Going?"
