Chef Kim Hee-eun posted a photo on her social media on the 13th with the caption, "I got 50,000 hateful comments saying my makeup is terribly bad and I was sad, so an expert fixed it for me." Her frank feelings and characteristic sense of humor were fully evident amid the blunt expression.
In the released photo, Kim Hee-eun, with the touch of a makeup artist, looks more radiant as she takes a selfie in front of a mirror. The atmosphere, different from her plain appearance on the show, drew attention for her confident attitude of "so I fixed it" rather than shrinking from the malicious comments.
The photo appears to have been taken ahead of the wrap party held on the day 'Culinary Class Wars: cooking class wars season 2' ended on Netflix. It was reported that chefs from seasons 1 and 2, including Kim Hee-eun, Park Eun-young, Yun Nam-no, Kim Si-hyun, Son Jong-won, and Monk Seonjae, gathered in one place to mark the end of the program.
Kim Hee-eun made a strong impression this season by appearing as a White Spoon chef and tying for eighth place. He, who holds one Michelin star, is a Chinese cuisine chef with a dazzling resume including a gold medal at the 2011 World Culinary Competition and a bronze at the WACS Russia culinary competition, and currently operates Soul Dining and Egg & Flower with her husband, Chef Yun Dae-hyun.
However, after the broadcast, evaluations focused more on appearance than on cooking, and she appears to have suffered considerable malicious comments.
