Conflict between broadcaster Park Na-rae and her former managers has been escalating day by day. She suspended activities amid allegations of power abuse and controversy over illegal medical procedures carried out by the "injection aunt," and now the dispute has intensified as former managers claim they were forced to obtain gynecology prescriptions on her behalf.
On the 13th, according to a Dispatch report, Park Na-rae's former managers claimed that at Park Na-rae's request they ran errands at a gynecology clinic to have medicine prescribed in someone else's name. They released a medical confirmation and portions of messenger conversations exchanged at the time, saying the requests were not one-off but repeated.
In the released messages, manager A told colleague B, "She asked me to buy medication at the gynecology clinic. It must be taken before the recording," and B expressed strong refusal about leaving medical records, asking, "Do I have to be the one to get the examination?" A reportedly replied, "Ask them to make sure no record is left. I'm sorry—I should have gone."
The former managers said proxy prescriptions were actually carried out and that transfers were made afterward as payment for the medicine. They said, "We were aware there could be a violation of the Medical Service Act, but we felt pressure to protect the entertainer and, given the employment relationship, refusal was not easy." A manager who is unmarried said, "I was afraid medical records could later affect my private life."
Earlier the former managers also exposed an errand that took place just before departure at the airport. According to the report, Park Na-rae allegedly asked a manager waiting at the airport to bring a luxury bag from her Itaewon home after she had completed immigration checks for the I Live Alone Taiwan episode shoot. The manager reportedly left the airport through a so-called "reversal of departure" procedure to cancel the exit inspection, went home to pick up the bag, and then returned to the airport.
Meanwhile, disputes over alleged misuse of a corporate card have continued. The former managers released corporate card statements they had used and rebutted, "Most were necessary business expenses, and payment details were shared with the person in real time." They claimed that among A's one-year corporate card spending of 48,570,000 won was a plastic surgery expense for Park Na-rae's mother, and that B's 67,050,000 won in charges were mostly work-related expenditures such as dinner bills, a gift of a ring for a fellow entertainer, and airfare. They also released KakaoTalk messages showing that details were sent to Park Na-rae immediately after payment and that any charges she did not know about were checked right away.
Park Na-rae has not issued an additional official statement since her video statement. Last month the former managers alleged power abuse, aggravated assault, proxy prescriptions, illegal medical procedures, and unpaid production fees, and they warned of applying for provisional seizure of property and filing damage claims. In response, Park Na-rae countersued the former managers on charges of attempted extortion, and the former managers also filed additional complaints accusing her of embezzlement, aggravated assault and defamation.
With police investigations underway, the exchange of claims from both sides has continued, and the controversy is taking on the appearance of a prolonged conflict. With facts and legal judgments still pending, attention is focused on whether the "gynecology proxy prescription" claim will become the turning point in the dispute.
