Actor Kang Eun-bi revealed deep feelings as she explained why she has delayed filing a marriage registration despite being pregnant.
On the 13th, Kang Eun-bi appeared as an audience member on the tvN variety show "Kim Chang-ok Show 4" and candidly confessed about married life with her husband Byun Jun-pil and the worries that had built up in her heart. That day Kang Eun-bi said, "I am currently 12 weeks pregnant," and reported, "Instead of morning sickness my appetite has increased, so I have gained a little weight." She said she and Byun Jun-pil were classmates at Seoul Institute of the Arts and had dated for 17 years since college before finally becoming husband and wife in April last year.
Although they have been together for a long time, there was a gap that did not easily close even after marriage. Byun Jun-pil said, "I can't read my wife's feelings well. She rarely acts cute, and it still feels like we are cautious with each other," and added, "Instead of calling each other 'honey' or 'darling,' we call each other by name." Above all, he expressed frustration, saying, "I wanted to be legally married too, but we still haven't filed our marriage registration. Not knowing the reason was frustrating."
In response, Kang Eun-bi cautiously brought up the reasons she had hesitated to file the marriage registration. She confessed, "Because of past projects I saw comments like 'Are you marrying a cheating woman?', 'Why would someone marry a dirty woman?', 'It's sad that he married a delisted woman,'" and said, "If I filed the marriage registration I felt like I would become a burden on my husband's life." She was afraid that her presence might伤 her spouse Byun Jun-pil's life.
Kang Eun-bi said that during their dating years she repeatedly said, "You can run away anytime," and "I'm fine living alone." She said, "Even though we got married and I became pregnant, that anxiety did not completely disappear," and added, "The person who helped me endure that was Jun-pil."
After hearing his wife's true feelings, Byun Jun-pil said, "I think I understand now," and expressed apology, and the two spent time deepening their understanding of each other. Standing at a new starting line marked by pregnancy, the couple took a step closer to becoming a real married couple by breaking down the walls in their hearts.
Meanwhile, Kang Eun-bi has not shared an update for about two weeks after news that she was urgently hospitalized at a university hospital on the 2nd. Kang Eun-bi, who held a wedding in April after 17 years of dating, had said last September that she successfully conceived naturally at age 40 and received many congratulations.
However, she is currently experiencing a precarious situation related to the pregnancy. At the time Kang Eun-bi said, "I was hospitalized at 20 weeks and 2 days of pregnancy due to premature rupture of membranes, and two days later I was diagnosed as having zero amniotic fluid," and she described the desperate situation in which termination of the pregnancy was even mentioned.
She said, "I heard the words 'pregnancy termination,' but I could not give up easily. The baby's heartbeat and movements felt like signals that it was still holding on," and added, "I decided to transfer to a higher-level hospital because I wanted to hang on at a hospital with even a little more hope until the end." However, she said that even in the process of seeking a hospital there was nowhere to accept her, and she was spilling despair and tears.
