That day Kim Hyeyoon recalled her anonymous days, saying that around age 17 as a high school student she managed alone without an agency for seven years while going back and forth between acting practice and filming. She said, "If it was a very early morning shoot or deep in the mountains, I would ask my father and he would come, or if he went to work I would ride in an extra actor's vehicle to get there."
She added, "When they asked what time I would arrive, I went to a 24-hour cafe and waited until the bus came, then went to the site and waited nine hours, and there were times my turn still didn't come. It was a continuous wait."
Above all, Kim Hyeyoon revealed, "When it was cold the staff gave heaters, but I thought I still didn't deserve them. 'It's okay' became a habitual phrase. In high school my fingers got frostbite. From that day my hands swelled and my fingernails fell off. That's how cold it was," which surprised viewers.
During her long period of anonymity, Kim Hyeyoon endured by setting her own rules, such as watching one movie a day and exercising one hour a day.
Then Yu Jae-seok marveled, "You juggled auditions and studies while working hard at university and apparently received scholarships all four years—that's amazing." To that, Kim Hyeyoon replied humbly, "My school had various scholarship programs."
