Traditional cultural artist once again predicts good news for Lee Sang-min.
In the fourth episode of 'Gwedam Note 2,' which airs at 12 a.m. on Jan. 15 (Thu), a shaman tells Lee Sang-min, "You can have two wishes fulfilled," and "I see document luck and descendants," beginning to offer congratulations.
In response, Lee Sang-min said, "On Dec. 31, 2025, I underwent in vitro fertilization," listening to the shaman's prediction and marveling at the astonishing timing of the prophecy. As of the recording date, results were not yet known, but everyone, united in hope, did not spare their applause wishing for good news.
That day in the studio, a story was introduced about the "taboos" to observe around the time a baby is born.
The traditional cultural artist began by saying that just as with people, objects brought into a home at the wrong time can cause great trouble. In particular, violating taboos that must be observed when a baby is born can bring great misfortune.
A stingy listener, preparing for the expected grandchild, generously decides to replace a broken boiler for his daughter-in-law's postpartum care. But after giving birth and returning with the grandchild, the daughter-in-law began acting strangely and her condition grew worse by the day.
Ultimately, the listener consulted a shaman to examine the daughter-in-law, and discovered the daughter-in-law's lips were cracked and her eyes swollen and seriously injured, revealing that the boiler had been the cause.
They explained that replacing the boiler during the birth period angered Samsin, sending impure energy to the daughter-in-law, and one shaman added that "the boiler is like the hearth deity," a fire-managing god who, in shamanic belief, protects the household from disaster and prays for blessings.
After setting an offering in front of the boiler and praying to the Samsin grandmother, the daughter-in-law returned to her right mind, they said. They pointed out that just as a protective cord is placed to prevent impurity after childbirth, bringing in objects at the wrong time during pregnancy and delivery can cause great misfortune.
Also featured are true horror stories in 'Gwedam Note 2' episode 4, including the bizarre 'murder noise' revealed by floor noise, a daughter-in-law's failed obsessive love that led to catastrophe, and the story of a man whose tragedies repeat whenever he tries to marry. The episode will air on Jan. 15 (Thu) at 12 a.m. on the KBS Joy channel. It will also be available on Jan. 17 (Sat) at 12:10 a.m. on KBS Drama channel.<
