One of the world's most prestigious breaking competitions, 'Break The Floor' was held on Jan. 11 as a 20th anniversary 'Legend' edition.
'Break The Floor' is held every year in the southern French resort city of Cannes, and this year's competition also opened at the symbolic venue where the Cannes Film Festival is held, the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès. Top b-boys from around the world gathered in one place to stage fierce breaking battles.
Jinjo Crew is the team that holds the unparalleled record of winning 'Break The Floor' three consecutive years from 2016 to 2018, and has been regarded as the strongest legend in the competition's history. The organizers officially invited members Skim, Wing, and Vero, sending the message that they could not hold the 20th anniversary event without Jinjo Crew.
B-boys from several countries, including host country France, Korea, Russia, Italy, Ukraine, and a world united team, participated in the tournament, which proceeded as an eight-team knockout.
On the final stage, Jinjo Crew won the championship after a close contest, defeating Sip the Juice, a team formed by Russia's Grom and Nold Diamond and France's Willy, with a 2-1 victory.
'Break The Floor' is regarded as a stage that has recorded the history and flow of breaking culture beyond a simple battle. On that 20-year timeline, Jinjo Crew returned to the top not through past glory but through current competitiveness.
Returning to the top on the symbolic stage of the 20th anniversary, Jinjo Crew changed the meaning of the word 'Legend,' the slogan of this year's competition, into the present tense. The year of the red horse, Jan. at the start of 2026. With this victory, Jinjo Crew announced a symbolic start to the year that will charge forward energetically.
In her acceptance remarks, Wing said, "I think a legend is not someone who won once, but someone who can continue to stand on stage as time passes," and added, "And not alone, but people who endured that time together with the team. It was very meaningful to be able to show again with this stage that Jinjo Crew is such a team."
