Marvel's monumental project Avengers: Doomsday (directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, distributed by The Walt Disney Company Korea), which is set to open in December 2026 and has drawn worldwide anticipation, released a "Wakanda & Fantastic 4" trailer that delivers an even larger and more epic narrative following the three previously released teasers.
The newly released trailer begins with the appearance of "Shuri" (Letitia Wright), the current protector of Wakanda and the new Black Panther. Accompanying the rear view of "Shuri" walking alone across a desolate desert is the calm voice saying "I lost everyone I loved," which carries the weight of the many losses and responsibilities she has endured and leaves a deep resonance.
The scenes cut to the underwater world of Talokan, featuring its ruler "Namor" (Tenoch Huerta Mejía) and elite warrior "Namora" (Mabel Cadena), capturing attention. Also appearing with "Shuri" is "M'Baku" (Winston Duke), now Wakanda's new king, showing a solid presence. Added to this is Shuri's narration about the path the king must take and the path she must walk, heightening curiosity about what choices they will make and how they will move forward.
The scene in which "M'Baku" greets "Ben Grimm (The Thing)," a member of the "Fantastic 4," hints that heroes from entirely different worlds will finally come together in one place, delivering a powerful thrill. When "M'Baku" introduces himself as "the king of Wakanda," and "Ben Grimm" replies, "Ben from Yancy Street," it raises expectations for the forthcoming narrative while showcasing the MCU's characteristic charm of never losing its sense of humor, bringing laughter to fans.
In the final sequence, "Shuri," wearing an upgraded suit, enters battle and delivers the "Wakanda forever" salute with determination, pulling audiences once again into the MCU universe and bringing expectations for the new phase of Avengers: Doomsday to a peak.
The cast lineup, which spans the MCU, includes Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hanna John-Kamen, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, Pedro Pascal, Chris Evans and others, raising expectations to record high.
