Actor Im Hyun-sik revealed an anecdote about recently visiting a hospital due to health problems.
Today (14th) at 8 p.m., TV CHOSUN's PerfecT Life will broadcast, where actor Im Hyun-sik shares recent updates including his health.
When Im Hyun-sik appeared with his daughter, the studio buzzed. MC Hyunyoung, toward the daughter, said "You are very beautiful. You have an actor's look. Who do you resemble?" and could not help but admire her beauty, and Im Hyun-sik replied "She resembles me," bringing laughter.
Meanwhile, Im Hyun-sik talked about his recent health, saying "Since last fall I lost my appetite and felt dizzy, so I went to the hospital. The test results said blood circulation wasn't smooth and that there was a scary risk of recurrent 'acute myocardial infarction,'" which surprised those around him. Im Hyun-sik added that to prevent acute myocardial infarction, "I had a heart stent procedure." Im Hyun-sik's daughter recounted the situation, saying "Dad suddenly lost weight and his energy dropped and his complexion looked very bad, so people around him worried a lot," and added, "Now he has regained his health and has gained a lot of weight," reassuring everyone.
Im Hyun-sik visited the graves of his mother and wife, which are placed side by side on the mountain behind his house, and took time to reflect on his 80 years of life. Sitting on a tree stump and looking at the two graves, he expressed thoughts about the end of life, saying, "I will let go of all greed and become a kind old man to go see my mother." Hearing this, MC Hyunyoung asked Im Hyun-sik's daughter, "Hearing these things must make your heart ache a lot," and the daughter, choking up, said, "He has been saying things like this recently, and sometimes I avoid listening because I don't want to. I think, 'Has dad already reached that age?'"
On the other hand, Im Hyun-sik expressed his desire to continue working even in his 80s, drawing attention. Im Hyun-sik said, "I want to act more, and if there are places that call me, I want to keep working. And I want to do a program with colleagues that deals with stories of old people like me," expressing his wish to remain active for a long time and adding a touching note.
