The group ILLIT's "NOT CUTE ANYMORE" has again gained momentum on the U.S. Billboard charts and is on the verge of entering the main song chart, the Hot 100.
On Jan. 13, according to the latest chart released by U.S. music outlet Billboard (dated Jan. 17), ILLIT (Yoonah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, Iroha)'s single album title track "NOT CUTE ANYMORE" rose three places from the previous week to rank No. 7 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100.
The Bubbling Under Hot 100 ranks songs that narrowly missed entering the main song chart, the Hot 100. "NOT CUTE ANYMORE" first entered this chart at No. 17 (dated Jan. 3), rose to No. 10 (dated Jan. 10), and has climbed the rankings for three consecutive weeks.
The song is performing even stronger on global song charts based on streaming data from 200 countries and territories worldwide. This week it landed at No. 45 on Billboard's Global (excluding U.S.) and No. 60 on the Global 200. Those positions represent rebounds of seven and 10 places, respectively, from last week and are "NOT CUTE ANYMORE"'s personal bests.
The short-form trend is fierce. "NOT CUTE ANYMORE" was used as the insert song for the so-called "hood jab shot challenge" and has firmly held top-10 positions in daily YouTube shorts popular songs in major countries such as the U.S. (No. 6), Australia (No. 5), the U.K. (No. 7) and Canada (No. 7). On Korea's YouTube chart, it has remained at the top for more than 30 days (dated Jan. 11).
Riding that popularity, ILLIT recently reappeared on domestic music shows and ignited a chart resurgence. After their final performance on SBS' Inkigayo on Jan. 11, "NOT CUTE ANYMORE" shot up to No. 17 on Melon's daily chart (dated Jan. 11). Their second Japanese digital single, "Sunday Morning," released on Jan. 13, also debuted at No. 1 on AWA Music's real-time rising chart, proving strong local popularity.
