KBS2's new variety show "The Logic," which is set to spark a debate craze in Korea, has unveiled a powerful trailer featuring MC Kim Gu Ra.
The Logic, which will premiere at 9:50 p.m. on the 22nd on KBS2 (directed by Kim Tae Joon), is a debate survival show where 100 people in Korea who possess sharp "logic" gather to compete solely by logic to choose the "Logic Master." The show is expected to trigger viewers' dopamine and excessive immersion as 100 people from all walks of life who have moved the world with words live together and face off in various debate missions.
In this regard, the production team released a trailer showing Kim Gu Ra, known as the "logic king of the entertainment industry" and famous for "Ssulzun," as the MC, which sharply raised expectations and curiosity for the first broadcast. In the trailer, he sits on a throne in the dark and opens with, "These days, there are an awful lot of words. But there is absolutely no logic." He then explains the show's core point, saying, "This is not a place to fight with emotions. This is a place to sharpen the sword of words. Talk nonsense and you're out immediately!"
Immediately after, a large-scale mission site featuring 100 logic players unfolds, and among them, "survival veteran" contestants Seo Chul Gu and Im Hyun Seo are spotted participating in a mission, drawing attention. With an unprecedented-scale "debate survival" on the way, Kim Gu Ra emphasizes forcefully, "Persuading someone does not mean the person with the loudest voice wins. Precise, sharp logic wins!" At the same time, the caption "Design the logic of victory" appears strikingly, and Kim Gu Ra raises excitement by saying, "Let's see who dominates logic and who wavers." Intense interest is focusing on who will properly hone the blade of logic and become the "Logic Master."
Meanwhile, The Logic has drawn attention as a full lineup of experts from various professions who have moved the world with words—religious figures, researchers, CEOs, lawyers, professors, comedians, and others—will appear. Yoojung, a former member of BB Girls known as a "twist-brained cute turtle," Lee Dae Hwi of AB6IX, Geon Il of Xdinary Heroes, Seo Chul Gu, a survival powerhouse and "brain rapper," Joo Eun Kyu, a "top-tier economic YouTuber," Seoul National University–trained lawyer Im Hyun Seo, Sam Hammington, an Australian-born broadcaster known as the "first foreign comedian," and Kim Ha Seob, a "startup CEO" famous as the "storyteller" on I'm SOLO (I'm SOLO), have already been named among the 100 lineup.
Also joining the formidable lineup are Choi Young Jae, a former Blue House head security guard known as the "Master of The Iron Squad," Tammy, who gained worldwide attention as the martial arts director of K-pop Demon Hunters ("Kedehun"), Casper, a "viewtuber CEO," broadcaster Chris Johnson, labeled a "California old-timer," naturalized Russian-born professor Ilya, KBS announcer Jeong Eun Hye, the "Seoul National University Karina," KBS announcer Nam Hyun Jong, called the "post-Jeon Hyun Moo," attorney No Young Hee, known as the "spicy lawyer," and commentator Park Moon Seong, the "alchemist on the field."
