Kyuhyun talked about his feelings on "modern dating" through 'Single's Inferno 5'.
On the 14th at Hotel Naru Seoul MGallery in Mapo-gu, Seoul, a production presentation for Netflix's 'Single's Inferno' season 5 was held. The event was attended by PD Kim Jaewon, PD Park Soo-ji, Hong Jin Kyung, Lee Da-hee, Kyuhyun, Hanhae, and Dex.
'Single's Inferno,' which will be released worldwide on the 20th, is a dating reality show that unfolds on an isolated island called 'Hell Island' where only couples can leave, showing singles' honest and fiery dating. Since its first season in 2021 it has continued to be a global sensation and proved itself the 'undisputed leader' of dating reality, and 'Single's Inferno' returns for a fifth season with even hotter singles.
On the day Kyuhyun said, "As the seasons go by I think about how the next season can be interesting, but it always surpasses the previous season. I look forward to every season. Although I am in the position to have released season 5, I already find myself looking forward to 6," he said.
He continued, "In a way, when you appear on a dating program like this, you sometimes manage your image to some extent. But this time they are really honest. You could see them showing their charms without any concern for the cameras. Personally, what I remember most is the pool scene. It was the most sexy ever. I think they'll be a bit nervous every time they come out of the pool. I think it will be amazing. I don't know how many stars will be born," he said, outlining points of anticipation.
Also, regarding the 'modern dating style' he felt through this fifth season, he said, "In the era when I dated, men still did a lot of the pursuing, but I feel it's very different now. Women are very proactive, and I learned the charm of the 'teto woman.' I even found myself thinking, 'I want to be someone for her.' You'll feel while watching that this is what dating is like these days," he said, drawing laughter.
He added, "My ideal type hasn't changed, but watching the male contestants I thought, 'So that's flirting and composure.' I even felt respect for them as daters," he said, raising expectations.
