Actress Kang Eun-bi for the first time opened up about the aftereffects of school violence she suffered during her school years.
On the 13th episode of the tvN Joy entertainment show Kim Chang-ok Show 4, various stories were introduced under the theme "uncomfortable cohabitation, let's break up." That day Kang Eun-bi appeared as a storyteller with her husband Byun Jun-pil and confessed wounds from her past that she had not been able to bring up easily.
Kang Eun-bi explained that the reason she is awkward at expressing emotions is, "I wasn't loved by friends during my school years. I was always alone and severely ostracized." She went on to say, "To the extent that I was hit so hard my eardrum burst," and "one side still has an artificial eardrum," which shocked those present.
It was a story completely different from the image that had drawn attention when she was considered a ulzzang. Kang Eun-bi recalled, "On the outside I may have seemed to be doing well, but in reality I was always lonely."
She also revealed another wound she experienced after debuting as an actress. Kang Eun-bi said, "In the early days after my debut, scenes of me acting cute were broadcast a lot on variety shows, and I was labeled as 'fake' and 'unlikable,'" adding, "There were even idol love lines, and because I was a rookie I tried to react somehow, but related search terms were full of profanity."
