Additional allegations from Park Na-rae's former manager have continued, bringing renewed attention to questions about past absences from Kim Ji-min and Kim Jun-Ho's wedding ceremonies.
Park Na-rae's former manager, a person surnamed A, released a lengthy statement on the 13th and directly refuted the recently raised "no charges for abuse of power" claim and the call recording contents. A picked apart key issues one by one, saying their claims were being distorted, including "dawn meeting," "the substance of the agreement," "four major insurances," and "career controversy."
A particularly striking passage concerned an episode that occurred during Park Na-rae's contract renewal with her former agency JDB Entertainment. A said, "At the time JDB representative Park OO and Park Na-rae grabbed onto me at the same time," and "Park Na-rae scouted me knowing I could perform all roles from on-site manager to head of team to Deputy Minister." He went on to reveal, "Park Na-rae asked me to obtain a recording to catch JDB Park OO's weakness, and that recording was handed over to Park Na-rae and her then-boyfriend. The material is still being kept."
When these claims were made public, renewed attention fell on Park Na-rae's absence from close friend Kim Ji-min's wedding. Park Na-rae missed Kim Ji-min's wedding shoot due to a burglary at her home and also did not appear at the wedding of Kim Ji-min and Kim Jun-Ho held in Gangnam, Seoul. The wedding drew attention with the appearance of comedians from the three major broadcasters such as Yu Jae-seok, Lee Young-ja, Ahn Young-mi, and Park Joonhyung, but Park Na-rae ultimately did not attend.
She reportedly conveyed the reason for her absence to the bride and groom and sent a generous wedding gift, but the specific reason was only described as "personal circumstances." However, coupled with the former manager's claim of a "JDB weakness recording," questions have been raised that the absence may not have been merely personal circumstances.
The mention of JDB's Park OO referred to the representative of JDB Entertainment, and the fact that JDB was founded by Kim Jun-Ho and Kim Dae-hee has amplified the impact of the revelations. The former manager did not directly name a specific person, but interpretations followed that the target of the request to "catch a weakness" may have been JDB executives including Kim Jun-Ho.
The dispute between Park Na-rae and her former managers has escalated into an increasingly complex situation beyond a simple abuse of power controversy. Which side's claims are closer to the truth is expected to be determined through future legal battles.
