LE SSERAFIM (LE SSERAFIM) member Sakura has been selected as the ambassador for Japan's 'Felissimo' (Felissimo), making her the first K-pop artist to receive the role.
Sakura was appointed ambassador for Felissimo's handmade kit brand 'Couturier' (Couturier). Along with this, she will launch the 'SAKURA MIYAWAKI × Couturier' brand in collaboration with 'Couturier'. 'Couturier's' collaboration with an outside partner to present a new line is the first such case for Sakura.
Felissimo is a Japanese lifestyle corporation with a 60-year history. They said, "Sakura inspires many people with her deep interest in and passion for knitting. We launched this project hoping people will enjoy knitting in their daily lives like Sakura," explaining the background for selecting her as ambassador.
For 'SAKURA MIYAWAKI × Couturier', Sakura personally planned the products and participated in the inspection process. She actively contributed ideas, recalling the difficulties she felt when she first encountered knitting and the products she wanted to actually make. Knitting kits and related items reflecting her ideas will be revealed sequentially. On the 15th, she will appear on NHK E Channel's 'Sutekini Handmade' (すてきにハンドメイド), opening up her enjoyment of knitting on Japanese television for the first time.
Sakura is known as a representative 'knitting lover' in the idol world, often showing her knitting on her own content and variety programs. In particular, she launched knitting merch 'KKUROCHET' (KKUROCHET) in January last year to strong response. With the support of many people, she later released the 'KKUROCHET holiday edition' in December.
Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Heo Yunjin, Kazuha, Hong Eunchae) will hold the world tour encore concerts 'LE SSERAFIM TOUR 'EASY CRAZY HOT' ENCORE IN SEOUL' at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul from Jan. 31 to Feb. 1. The shows sold out within 10 minutes of general ticket sales, and the additionally opened restricted-view seats also sold out.
