HYBE music group label Belift Lab Inc. will take the lead in spreading a blood donation culture in cooperation with the Korean Red Cross.
On the 13th, Belift Lab Inc. said it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korean Red Cross Blood Management Headquarters to realize the social value of sharing. At the signing ceremony held on the 12th at HYBE headquarters in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, Belift Lab Inc. CEO Kim Tae-ho and co-CEO Choi Yoon-hyuk, Korean Red Cross Blood Management Headquarters head Kwon So-young and blood donation promotion director Kim Bong-gyun, and the group ENHYPEN attended.
Through this agreement, Belift Lab Inc. and the Korean Red Cross plan to pursue collaboration on ENHYPEN's social contribution programs including blood donation campaigns and provide support to establish a blood donation culture. Belift Lab Inc. also plans to continue offline collaborations with the Japanese Red Cross as well as domestic efforts in the future.
ENHYPEN has built a distinctive identity by continuing an album story using a vampire motif. Their mini seventh album THE SIN : VANISH, to be released on the 16th, also contains the narrative of lovers who break the taboo of a society where humans and vampires coexist and flee for love. An interesting synergy is expected through the unusual link between vampires and blood donation.
Kim Tae-ho, CEO of Belift Lab Inc., said, ENHYPEN's team name contains the meaning that different beings are connected and through that connection move toward a more expanded world. The collaboration we begin today is a process of putting the meaning of "consolidation" into practice in reality, and he added, I hope ENHYPEN's narratives and messages meet the value of sharing life through blood donation and are delivered as meaningful experiences to the younger generation.
Kwon So-young, head of the Korean Red Cross Blood Management Headquarters, said, In Korea, one unit of blood product is transfused every seven seconds. Therefore, blood donation is a noble act that directly saves lives, and she added, I hope this MOU becomes the starting point for long-term expansion of a blood donation culture that accepts donation as a lifestyle or cultural practice.
ENHYPEN leader Jungwon said, I believe blood donation is a sharing in which small acts of courage come together to protect someone's day and life. I am honored to be able to take the lead in promoting such a worthy campaign, and he added, I hope this event helps, even a little, to create a warmer world.
