The country's first K-bakery survival, MBN's 'Cheonhajeppang,' has revealed its main poster, announcing an unprecedented, borderless, experience-agnostic, occupation-agnostic 'sweet and savage survival.'
MBN's 'Cheonhajeppang,' which will premiere on Feb. 1 (Sun) at 9:40 p.m., is the country's first 'K-bakery survival' to select the world's top baker, leading the craze for 'K-bread,' which has become a trend beyond mere food. From masters gathered from across Paldo Co. to world-class patissiers and underground bakers with inventive recipes, 72 bakers and pastry chefs from around the world will set aside their ranks to compete in a massive global baking showdown that will spread the power of 'K-bread' to surprise the world in the first half of 2026.
The 'Cheonhajeppang' main poster released today, the 13th, grabs attention by hinting at a reasoned oven war of 'bread maniacs' who live and die by bread. In particular, overseas challengers and domestic challengers, including announcer Lee Hye-seong, reveal determination and seriousness under the main phrase 'the one bread that will dominate the world.' As bakers burst with passion between the sweet breads and desserts that are a feast for the eyes, curiosity grows over which one of the 72 challengers will be the ultimate baker to conquer the world.
Meanwhile, 'Cheonhajeppang' has drawn attention by revealing a first lineup of 14 consisting of celebrities, overseas challengers and famous bakery challengers. First, Lee Hye-seong returns as the 'bread-baking announcer,' and Park Dul-seon, a 38-year veteran top model turned 'top model bakery owner,' is shocking by her mere presence. In addition, Joo Young-seok, a former member of the idol group 'Smash' produced by Tony Ahn, has thrown his hat in the ring as a 'baking idol,' drawing attention to what secret weapons challengers from celebrity backgrounds will show.
In addition, overseas challengers who chose to come to Korea directly to 'conquer K-bakery' are expected to showcase unique baking techniques that will broaden the diversity of K-bakery. Alessio Galli from Italy, known as the 'home of desserts,' and Clément Boche from France will appear with the nicknames 'three-star baker' and 'French rookie,' respectively. Carla Yuls from 'Jakarta No. 1' and Zheng Ziying, the 'baker from China,' will also expand the world of baking and pastry.
Finally, challengers from 'SNS famous bakeries and blue ribbon restaurants' who will make bread lovers nationwide cheer also draw attention.
