Byeon Wooseok and Lee Chae-min's agency Baro Entertainment has taken legal action to protect its artists.
On the 13th, Baro Entertainment said, "We have recently confirmed that unlawful acts such as malicious slander, dissemination of false information causing defamation, insults, sexual harassment, and personal attacks have been continuously occurring online and on social media targeting our artists," adding, "Accordingly, we are taking this matter seriously, collecting related materials through our in-house monitoring system, and proceeding with all legal measures, including criminal complaints, with law firm YulChon as our legal representative. We will respond firmly in accordance with principle to acts that infringe on the honor and rights of our artists with no settlements or leniency," it said in an official statement.
It added, "Spreading posts based on unfounded speculation or distorted content that differ from the facts are serious illegal acts that severely damage the reputation of the parties involved and can cause secondary harm. We will continue strong legal measures against such acts through ongoing monitoring and evidence collection."
Baro Entertainment also said, "We deeply appreciate the interest and support fans send to our artists, and we will continue to do our best to protect our artists going forward."
Meanwhile, Baro Entertainment represents Byeon Wooseok and Lee Chae-min, as well as Gong Seung-yeon, Lee Yumi, Lee Soo-kyung, Jin Goo, Lee Hongnae, Park Moon-ah, and Park Jung-woo.
