Actor Kang Seong-yeon directly addressed recent reports about her and disclosed that she is dating.
On the 12th, Kang Seong-yeon posted a message about her current feelings on her social media (SNS) while sharing a news article.
Regarding the reason for moving, she said, "It was not that I decided to move for my child's safety and psychological stability," adding, "I agonized over it for a long time and made a difficult decision with my family."
She continued, "As for my child being injured two months ago, it was a one-sided harm, not something that started as horseplay with friends," and added, "Although I received an apology, the reason my feelings did not ease was because of a phone call with a guardian whose sincerity did not come through. I recorded how upset and aggrieved I was at the time, but I did not expect it would be reported for so long and be seriously distorted."
Earlier, Kang Seong-yeon said in Nov. last year that her son was involved in an accident on his way home from school.
She also revealed that she is in a relationship. Kang said, "Because of distorted articles, I became an extremely lonely and solitary single mom, but raising children is not easy for anyone, not just single moms," adding, "As many mothers of young children do, I am physically exhausted, but when I see the children growing up bright and healthy, I gain new strength."
She added, "I met a truly good person who cherishes and loves the children even more than I do, and I am living happily. Please stop worrying excessively now."
Kang Seong-yeon married jazz pianist Kim Ga-on in 2012 but split in Dec. 2023, 11 years later. She is raising two sons on her own.
