Kim Min-su of the YouTube channel 'Pisik University' and its program 'Pisik Show' was embroiled in controversy over crossing the line with his humor.
Pisik Show apologized on the 13th, saying, "Hello, this is Pisik University. We apologize for causing discomfort by mentioning a chef who did not appear in this content."
It added, "We attempted to immediately delete the segment, but processing is delayed due to a system reason. We will take action as quickly as possible."
On the 11th, a video titled "Asking Napoli Mafiya who won season 1 of Culinary Class Wars" was posted on the YouTube channel 'Pisik University' 'Pisik Show'.
That day, Napoli Mafiya chef Kwon Seong-jun appeared as a guest and talked about the Netflix variety show "Culinary Class Wars." Suddenly, Kim Min-su mentioned "Baby Beast," and the atmosphere became unsettled.
Kim Min-su asked, "Do you know Baby Beast?" Kwon Seong-jun looked incredulous and responded, "Why!" He was referring to chef Kim Si-hyeon, who drew attention with the nickname Baby Beast on the Netflix variety show "Culinary Class Wars 2."
Kwon Seong-jun said, "I know Baby Beast. But personally I don't know them." Lee Yongju and Jung Jae-hyung, who were watching Kim Min-su, tried to stop him, but Kim Min-su continued speaking undeterred.
When Kim Min-su asked, "Do you happen to know their phone number?" Kwon Seong-jun replied, "That person was born in 00." It turned out Kim Min-su and Baby Beast were nine years apart.
Still, Kim Min-su even sent a video message to Baby Beast. Kim Min-su said, "Hello Baby Beast. I'm an adult beast. So I like you and someday I want to go on a date with you or ask her out." Mentioning another chef while Kwon Seong-jun was appearing as a guest and disrupting the atmosphere with thoughtless behavior ultimately sparked controversy.
