On the 11th (local time) at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards ceremony held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, U.S., the best actor trophy in the musical·comedy film institutional sector went to Timothée Chalamet for the film "Marty Supreme".
Lee Byung-hun was listed as a nominee in that institutional sector and competed against strong contenders including George Clooney, Leonardo S.p.A., and Ethan Hawke. The moment the winner was announced, he smiled and applauded from his seat, and the scene was shown on the broadcast.
