'Gugak trot fairy' Kim Da-hyeon begins new activities in 2026 with the release of her third album.
Kim Da-hyeon will meet fans with new music by releasing her third full-length album 'Black Swan' on the 16th, ahead of her solo nationwide tour concert 'Dream' scheduled to continue in March in Seoul, Busan and Daegu.
Among the nine tracks on the album, the title track 'Black Swan' is meaningful as a song Kim Da-hyeon wrote and composed herself. It is a contemporary dance song that combines EDM-style rhythms with sophisticated K-pop arrangements.
Through the symbol of 'Black Swan,' she expresses individuality and confidence different from others, and it was completed in a K-pop style that considered performance and stage production. Kim Da-hyeon's clear, energetic vocals blend over intense beats and trendy sounds, signaling a bold musical transformation that breaks away from her existing image.
Kim Da-hyeon said, "When I was in high school I wanted to compose a song myself, and I'm really happy to have realized that dream," expressing her feelings about completing the new album. Her activities in 2026, when she will be a third-year student at Seoul Performing Arts High School, are also highly anticipated.
Appearing on MBN's news program 'Pressroom LIVE' on the 9th, Kim Da-hyeon said, "It was the first time in my life that I wrote lyrics and composed music, and while writing down my thoughts to write lyrics I received a lot of comfort, felt happiness, and also felt sadness," and asked fans to "look forward to it a lot," saying, "I was able to put emotions that can only be thought of in adolescence into the album."
Meanwhile, Kim Da-hyeon made headlines by revealing the story of appearing in the film 'Florence' as the daughter of actor Kim Min-jong and for the first time in her life using the term 'dad.' Balancing acting with music activities, she has announced a busy schedule that includes releasing her third album and holding a solo concert, drawing fans' attention.
Kim Da-hyeon's third full-length album 'Black Swan' will be released at 12 p.m. on the 16th.
