Broadcaster Jun Hyun-moo directly explained the alleged 60 billion won asset rumor and voiced his grievance.
On the 11th episode of KBS2 variety show "The boss's ears are donkey ears," boss Eom Ji-in visited announcer Park Cheol-gyu's home, who co-hosts KBS "Morning Yard," to provide mentoring.
That day Eom Ji-in said, "All the people I mentored have settled into positions well," and added confidently, "Announcer Park Cheol-gyu, who co-hosts 'Morning Yard' with me, also needs mentoring."
Announcer Park Cheol-gyu drew attention for keeping his home spotless despite living as a weekend commuter between Busan and Seoul. He, who is expected to become a father soon, said he is looking for a home in Seoul to live with his family.
Eom Ji-in then went to look at residences near Park Cheol-gyu's workplace and viewed a newly built 55-pyeong apartment. When it was revealed that the sale price of this apartment was as high as the 7 billion won range, the cast could not hide their surprise.
In the process, announcer Kim Jin-woong said, "I saw an article about Hyun-moo hyung saying he has 60 billion won. I think it might be much more than that," mentioning the rumor about Jun Hyun-moo's wealth.
Then Jun Hyun-moo immediately denied it strongly, saying, "I don't know what standard that came from, but I'll say one thing. If I had 60 billion won I wouldn't be working this hard. That's a joke."
Kim Sook also chimed in, saying, "It's like the 2 trillion won rumor about Seo Jang-hoon, something people vaguely believe," but Park Myung Soo retorted, "Jun Hyun-moo having 60 billion won seems right," provoking laughter.
In response Jun Hyun-moo again drew a line, saying, "That's absurd. It's out of the question," expressing his frustration.
