The group's ENHYPEN assembled a 'creative dream team' for their most ambitious concept album. Not only in music but also in fashion, photography and video, leading experts participated in large numbers to raise the artistic completeness.
ENHYPEN (Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghun, Sunoo, Ni-ki) recently released a series of four chapter videos that hint at the story of the mini 7th album 'THE SIN : VANISH' ('No Way Back', 'Big Girls Don't Cry', 'Stealer', 'Knife').
The story flows symbolizing hiding in an abandoned cave ('No Way Back'), the romanticism of escape across the deserts of Los Angeles, U.S. ('Big Girls Don't Cry'), a chase in Florence, Italy ('Stealer'), and the resolve to face crisis ('Knife') were each exciting and piqued curiosity.
Although it was a kind of trailer, the lavish direction and overwhelming scale that felt like a full movie became a hot topic. Along with the seven members transformed into vampires and their distinctive visuals, portions of the included tracks were also inserted into the videos, drawing immersion from global music fans.
This delicately designed ENHYPEN 'dark fantasy' narrative was completed by the detailed planning of HYBE Music Group label Belift Lab Inc. with support from world-class creators.
Designer Jiyong Kim, famous for the sun bleach technique that uses fading traces left on fabrics by natural elements such as sunlight, wind and rain, participated in the 'No Way Back' chapter and visualized the vampire's desperation in a trendy wanderer style.
Eli Russell Linnetz, founder and designer of U.S. fashion brand ERL, was in charge of custom costume production, styling and photography for the 'Big Girls Don't Cry' chapter. He helped maximize the free atmosphere felt by the lovers on the run in this chapter.
The video for the final chapter 'Knife' was directed by BRTHR, who has worked with top stars such as Jennie and Dua Lipa and Travis Scott. A master of intense, vivid color and digital mood direction, he expressed the vampire's bold ego with sensuous cinematography.
Still photography was handled by Jack Bridgland, a photographer who has collaborated with prominent Hollywood actors such as Sabrina Carpenter and Robert Pattinson. With his own distinctive tone, he captured ENHYPEN's raw energy from a fresh perspective, leaving a deep impression.
ENHYPEN's mini 7th album 'THE SIN : VANISH' will be released at 2 p.m. on the 16th. 'THE SIN : VANISH' is a 'concept album' in which all tracks, lyrics and sounds are intricately connected, and it will let listeners confirm the true value of the immersive storyteller ENHYPEN.
