KBS2 'Boss's ears are donkey ears' star Jung Ho-young amused viewers by being checked even by Kim Sook and Yang Jun-hyuk while purchasing ingredients for an in-flight meal cooking battle.
On the 11th (Sun) broadcast, KBS2 entertainment program 'Boss's ears are donkey ears' (directed by Choi Seung-hee, hereafter 'Boss's ears') episode 339 continued its power as the No. 1 program in its time slot for 188 consecutive weeks with a peak rating of 6.6% (Nielsen Korea).
Jung Ho-young, Kim Sook and Yang Jun-hyuk continued the Yonagi taste tour following last week. Jung Ho-young, who had developed in-flight meal menus, said, "It's time for the in-flight meal contract to end, so we need to develop a new menu," and asked Kim Sook and Yang Jun-hyuk for help. Regarding Yang Jun-hyuk, who is generally interested in food as a 'food guardian', and Kim Sook, who enjoys camping cuisine, Jung Ho-young confessed his true intention, saying, "If it is adopted as an in-flight meal, I'll share royalties," but also, "Actually I invited you to the gourmet meeting because I wanted to leave out your strengths."
Jung Ho-young, who recently drew attention by appearing on a survival program, said, "Many people knew me as a comedian who cooks well, but now they know me again as a comedian who cooks well," and added, "I often hear that I'm slimmer and look better in person than on screen." Then Jun Hyun-moo replied, "That's a line to get service," drawing laughter.
Before the main cooking battle, the three visited a Japanese mart to buy ingredients. The team of Kim Sook and Yang Jun-hyuk wandered the mart, unable to easily find ingredients because they did not know Japanese. When Kim Sook hesitated in front of products that looked similar to konjac, Jung Ho-young, who happened to pass by, insisted, "It's muk, not konjac," and said, "This neighborhood likes muk." Eventually Kim Sook used a translator and discovered the product was konjac, not muk, exposing Jung Ho-young's lie and putting him in a tight spot. But Jung Ho-young excused himself, saying, "Because it was a selection of ingredients for the competition, I couldn't tell them," which drew the MCs' ire.
After finishing ingredient shopping, the three headed to a popular ramen restaurant. At this place, known for ramen made with broth simmered from beef bones, Jung Ho-young ordered vegetable ramen for Kim Sook and spicy karai ramen for Yang Jun-hyuk, then ordered only a special menu for himself, drawing complaints again. But the ramen turned out to be more delicious than expected, and the three all devoured it and could not get up from their seats easily, once again showing their great chemistry.
Meanwhile, WowSan Records chief Kim Yun-ju drew attention by entering the long-awaited KBS2 'The Seasons: 10CM's Pat-Pat' with her artists (hereafter WowSans). Ahead of 'The Seasons' year-end special, bouquets, handwritten letters and snacks arrived in the waiting room of 'WowSans,' attracting everyone's attention. The bouquet was sent by Kim Yun-ju's husband and 'The Seasons' MC Kwon Jung-yeol, and the letter read, "To everyone at WowSan Records, thank you so much for being with us. Because it's a special stage, we will do our best to serve you. Please take good care of our Yun-ju." Seeing this, Park Myung Soo asked, "Is that because it's for broadcast, or is it always like that?" and Kim Yun-ju replied, "Actually it's always like that," revealing her husband's usual tenderness and drawing everyone's envy.
On that day, 'The Seasons' revealed the couple's first duet stage by Kwon Jung-yeol and Kim Yun-ju, attracting even more attention. The audience was moved by the romantic song of the two, who rarely performed a duet, and the WowSans members who watched them did not hide their admiration. In particular, Jun Hyun-moo expressed envy, saying, "This is a marriage-inducing video."
After the 'The Seasons' recording, at the dinner that followed, the artists began talking about minor mistakes that occurred during the recording. Kim Yun-ju, who looked regretful, realized that she had actually made the biggest mistake of getting the song lyrics wrong and brazenly responded, "If no one knew, I got through it naturally," adding to the laughter. Kim Yun-ju then raised expectations by telling the artists that she might appear on the radio hosted by 'Boss's ears' MC Park Myung Soo.
Um Ji-in drew attention that day by visiting announcer Park Cheol-gyu's home. Um Ji-in said, "These days, juniors are growing up rapidly through my hands," and added, "I go as an older sister and a mother's heart," drawing laughter.
Park Cheol-gyu, who is spending time apart from his wife because of the broadcast schedule, surprised everyone by having a neat home without even one thing misplaced. When Um Ji-in and Kim Jin-woong entered the house, Park Cheol-gyu asked them to wash their hands and feet and followed them around removing dust, drawing attention with his 'neat man' behavior.
Park Cheol-gyu, who will become a father in February, said that his wife will take parental leave after giving birth and move to Seoul. Currently the money Park Cheol-gyu has saved is about 300 million won, and he said he is looking for properties centered in the metropolitan area rather than near the company to match his asset scale. Hearing that, Um Ji-in suggested, "The lower your years of service, the more advantageous it is to live near the company," and proposed they go to view properties together.
A few days later, Um Ji-in, Kim Jin-woong and Park Cheol-gyu met in Yeouido where KBS is located and began the property tour. The three, who visited an apartment boasting the highest housing prices in Yeouido, were speechless at the view overlooking Yeouido and the built-in appliances. When told that the sale price of the apartment was 5 billion to 7 billion won, Um Ji-in encouraged him, saying, "Even Jun Hyun-moo, who is the most successful these days, started in a one-room. Be confident." The next building they visited in Yeouido was an older apartment about 50 years old, but its sturdy exterior, proximity to work and excellent infrastructure drew the three's interest.
After the tour, Park Cheol-gyu thanked Um Ji-in, saying, "Hearing Um Ji-in senior's words made me think it's better to live closer to the company, and it broadened my perspective on viewing real estate listings." Um Ji-in also reported the successful result of mentoring, saying, "Park Cheol-gyu recently signed a contract for a new home."
