'Run to Live2' father-son duo Sean and Ha-yul bring laughter by presenting a "silent running" that focuses on the race instead of conversation.
On the 12th (today) at 9:50 p.m., episode 7 of MBN's 'Run to Live season 2' will air, showing the Run to Live crew setting out on a meaningful 10km companion run with their respective partners at the "2025 MBN Seoul Marathon," under the theme "Run together, run for value."
That day, Sean begins a companion run with his third son Ha-yul, who inherited his "running DNA." But the two continue a kind of "silent practice" running, causing commentators Bae Seong-jae and director Kwon Eun-ju to worry. Faced with the continuing silence, Bae Seong-jae clicks his tongue and asks, "Did you come out to break your personal best today?" and worries about the "talk disappearance" by saying, "Actually, the concept of this event is a 'marathon talk show,' but right now the two's share of remarks is at the bottom!" In response, Sean asks, "Ha-yul, isn't it nice running with dad?" and toward the end of the race suggests, "Shall we hold hands with dad and cross the finish line?"
Seeing this, Bae Seong-jae shakes his head and says, "I don't think physical contact between father and son is possible," and attention turns to how Ha-yul, who has become much less talkative after entering adolescence, will react to his father's attempts at conversation and the suggestion to "hold hands."
Meanwhile, Lim Se-mi and Yoo Seon-ho catch attention by serving as guide runners for visually impaired runner Jo Eun-kyung. Lim Se-mi, who reportedly received guide runner training in advance for this event, surprises everyone by saying, "Ever since I started running, I wanted to try being a guide runner." Afterwards, Lim Se-mi and Yoo Seon-ho show a fantastic rhythm as guide runners. Jo Eun-kyung gives them a thumbs-up, saying, "You look like people who have been doing this for years," and Lim Se-mi, saying "It's exhilarating," explodes with energy, raising expectations for the touching companion run by these three.
Meanwhile, Im Soo-hyang also displays unexpected chemistry by running with a 9-year-old child. However, right behind Im Soo-hyang runs former national soccer player Kim Young-kwang, which raises curiosity. Bae Seong-jae asks, "Why is Kim Young-kwang running with you?" and Im Soo-hyang reveals, "I asked someone to be on my side today," explaining that she invited her close friend's husband, Kim Young-kwang, to participate. In fact, Kim Young-kwang sticks close behind Im Soo-hyang like a bodyguard, prompting Bae Seong-jae to request, "Kim Young-kwang, your expression is scary. Give us a big smile," which makes everyone burst into laughter. Im Soo-hyang then acts out a sudden skit, saying, "A scary Young-kwang monster is chasing from behind. We must run to survive!" turning the scene into a sea of laughter.
