'Fitness trainer Yang Chi-seung shared his impressions after attending a parliamentary audit and an update that he has embarked on a new start.
Yang Chi-seung posted a live-streamed video of the National Assembly Land Infrastructure and Transport Committee's audit on his personal social media on the 13th and said he testified as a witness about the reality of tenant damages of the jeonse-fraud type that occurred in publicly contributed acceptance facilities. He is a person who suffered damage of around 500 million won in relation to a past gym jeonse contract.
In this regard, Yang Chi-seung said "I wanted to inform people about the reality in which victims become criminals in the gaps of the law," and appealed, "I hope the blind spots of the new jeonse-fraud methods and the structural damage created by administrative tolerance will be corrected."
Yang Chi-seung became known as the trainer for famous entertainers such as Kim Woo-bin and Sung Hoon. He opened a gym in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam District, Seoul, in 2019 and even carried out remodeling, but in 2022 he received a sudden evacuation order from the Gangnam District Office.
The building was revealed to have been built on the condition of contributed acceptance as a public facility, with a structure in which free use was allowed for 20 years and the management·operation rights would be transferred to Gangnam District. However, unaware of this fact when they signed the contracts, Yang Chi-seung and other tenants ultimately had to close their gyms, and Yang Chi-seung bore damages of hundreds of millions of won due to the security deposit he had raised even by taking out a mortgage loan on his dwellings.
Later, Yang Chi-seung once again reached a turning point in his life. On the 12th he revealed a business card on social media saying, "26-year new beginning. Now an office worker, not a CEO." The place Yang Chi-seung newly joined is a service management company with 17 years in business that handles management of apartments, shopping complexes and officetels. He said "I will run to the site anytime" and received many people's support for his resolve.
