Jihoon (19), a member of the boy band TWS, has lost his father.
On the 12th, PLEDIS Entertainment Co., TWS's agency, posted a notice on the fan community and said, "We regret to inform you that TWS member Jihoon's father, whose condition worsened rapidly during treatment, passed away on the evening of the 11th."
It added, "Jihoon is currently keeping vigil at the mortuary, and the funeral will be held with family and relatives according to the wishes of the bereaved family," and "Please offer warm condolences and consideration so Jihoon can have sufficient time to mourn with his family."
Earlier, at TWS's first standalone concert held in June last year, Jihoon said his father was in the audience and shared his thoughts, saying, "Dad, I did well, right?," which is making many fans even more heartbroken.
Meanwhile, Jihoon debuted with TWS in 2024. On the 10th of this month, he attended the "40th Golden Disc Awards" held at Taipei Dome in Taiwan.
