'Run to Live 2' stars Lee Gikwang and Jeong He-in launch a "become close friends project" as they challenge a "10km partner run".
Episode 7 of MBN 'Run to Live season 2,' which airs on the 12th (Mon) at 9:50 p.m., follows the 'Run to Live crew' participating in the MBN Seoul Marathon, themed "Run together, run for value," where each member and their partner take part in a meaningful "10km partner run."
That day Lee Gikwang and Jeong He-in are paired as a team because they share the same birth year of 1990. In particular, the two show high enthusiasm, even transforming into the "K-pop Demon Hunters' Lion Boys" and preparing grim reaper looks. Regarding this, Lee Gikwang confessed, "Actually, (with Jeong He-in) I have recorded 'Run to Live' together several times, but we've hardly ever spoken. I'm worried about what will happen if the conversation doesn't flow well this time either."
In the early part of the race, the two exchange only awkward conversation. Then Lee Gikwang cautiously reveals, "Actually, I'm a 'fast 1990' so it's awkward when deciding how to address each other." Hearing this, Jeong He-in coolly nods and then says, "I've always looked older, so people have told me I look prematurely aged. So I like looking young," and readily calls Lee Gikwang "oppa." Furthermore, the "cool woman" Jeong He-in even suggests first, "Let's speak informally." All eyes are on whether Lee Gikwang and Jeong He-in will attempt to drop honorifics and develop a closer relationship.
Meanwhile, Go Han-min and his actor senior and close brother figure Jeon Bae-soo don matching 'Men in Black' suits and set off on a "partner run." Jeon Bae-soo, who was running showing off a great suit fit, soon expresses a "reality check" to Go Han-min. While checking his race time and looking at his watch, he complains, "Because of presbyopia, I can't see the watch well." Jeon Bae-soo even candidly says, "I thought I'd be embarrassed running in a suit today because people would stare too much, but nobody cares," prompting laughter on site with his frank remarks. Expectations are rising about what genuine close-friend chemistry the Men in Black–styled Go Han-min and Jeon Bae-soo will show, and whether the '90s duo Lee Gikwang and Jeong He-in will complete their "become close friends project."
